Hello Readers, Visitors on any blog can be defined as the buyers of our product. No matter how good our product is, if no one buys it, it’s worthless. Same is the case here with the bloggers. It doesn’t matters how good your content is, if no one is there to read it. Getting one time visitor is not a hard job. You can use facebook, twitter, and other ways to increase the traffic to your website. But making them come again & again is a tough job.
Are you worried about how to handle this tough job? Don’t worry. Post Fever is there to share their experience with you all. Today, I would be sharing here some tips to increase the returning visitors on your blog/website.
Tips To Increase Returning Visitors:
Updated Content
Let’s start from the basics. Think, why do a reader come again to your blog. Obviously because he liked your previous post and is in love with your blog. He would surely be coming back for new updated information and what if, if no new information is being updated on your blog. The person would leave disappointed and god knows when he would be coming back. So, the first and the most important rule to increase your returning visitors is to update your blog content regularly.
Understanding Your Readers
By understanding your readers, I am basically asking you to analyze what kind of people are reading your blog posts. For eg: Suppose you are writing posts for blogging tips. And your readership consists of mainly professional bloggers because you were constantly writing posts like Advanced SEO, & Professional blogging. Suddenly, the next week you are writing posts like “How to Add a Page in wordpress” or “How to add a post in wordpress”. Are you going through the right path? I think I am able to explain this point to you all. Think Upon It.
Subscribe to Comments Option
Amazed! Never thought how this feature can help you out in increasing the percentage of returning visitors. Let’s look through some facts, most of the bloggers just come to your website/blog, read the post and leave comments and will not get back to read who else commented. Why not start a discussion here and let the reader get the notification that someone replied to his comment. The best example of gaining comments through discussions is Facebook. Add this option to your website and see the change.
Add As Bookmark Option
When we generally like any website or information across the web, we generally add it to our bookmarks list. Now, you would say that it is an inbuilt option in the browser then why should we add it on our blog. Here a little bit of psychology would help us. If any reader would see that option live on the site, his chances of bookmarking that website increases by around 200%, because it would remind him every moment to bookmark it.
Adding a Subscription Box
Ya, one of the obvious things we do. But if we combine this thing with the 2nd point i.e, understanding the readers, it becomes almost killer way to increase the number of returning visitors. Let’s see it though this way, you know what your readers are searching for in your blog, and you write the same type of post and they get an email notification about it. BOOM, a sure shot returning visitor.
TIP: Try to make the subscription as simple as possible by adding the subscription box at the end of the post.
FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ would surely help to engage the readers. Let’s be with a big heart here. Everyone is little bit selfish. Provide your readers a platform to give the answers to their most general queries. Promise them the answer within 24 hours. Post the answers, they would surely come to get their answers, and that’s the key Hole. The reader is back, and now the 1st point comes into action. Updated Content, readers comes back for the answers, will see the updated content. Hopefully would stay there to read it.
A little Bit Show Off is Required
Yes, A little bit is acceptable. Show off about your hard work, about the number of followers you have, about the number of subscribers you have. People love to be a part of that thing, in which their known are already involved. Use the sidebar effectively, by showing the RSS Subscribers, Twitter Followers, Fans on FB, and ya, remember 1 thing, give them option to like, follow, subscribe at that very place. It will increase the probability of them to follow your blog. And if they follow, they will get regular updates and will surely be returning visitors in the future
Tease Your Readers By Revealing about your Next Posts
Yes, it works and it works really well. Try it. At the end of the post, educated the readers that what exactly your next post would be about. Provide them a little teaser of the articles, may be 50 – 80 words, or just the title. It’s your game, play that as you want to. But do keep one thing in mind, the title of the article should be really catchy and seems to be interesting. Something like “How to make a FB profile” would not work. Because people can google it out, how to do that
Something like, “Future of Blogging – My Perspective”, if your niche is blogging, it can be a desperate wait call for the readers.

Harneet
Thanks Musthafa for sharing your views with us. Actually, the most easiest way that can be used to answer to the readers queries is by creating a FAQ page. So that was the reason I thought of creating the heading FAQ. I’ll surely take care about the concepts in the upcoming posts. Keep Visiting

All of the tips which Harneet bro in this post is must to be able to get loyal readers, but which I follow most and is a subscription box.
I have added two email subscription box on my blog, one is at sidebar and another is below every post of my blog. It really helped me gaining more subscribers and turn my normal visitors to loyal readers.
I would like to suggest all the other new Bloggers to focus on the subscription box below your blog posts instead of social sharing buttons!

Great list for keeping your visitors coming back. I recently added a sign up box on my blog from Jet Pack that allows visitors to subscribe to my latest posts.
This is a good option for people who don’t want to sign up for my newsletter.
