Rules Of Blogging
Everything in this world comes with a rule book. It may be a career, a new device, new cities and almost everything in this world has it’s own follow up guide or rules that you need to follow to survive & grow.
Same is the case with blogging. We need to take care of certain things in order to be successful in it. What needs to be done, what not to be done. Having Knowledge of these things is really important.
“Rules are Meant to be Broken” – as one of my friend said to me. I replied,”Yes, they are. But certain rules maybe you can call them a special category rules are meant to be taken into consideration”. So, today I would be sharing with you the 5 rules of blogging that you should never break in any scenario.

1. Provide High Quality Content
High Quality Content, the only reason why a person visits a particular blog. They get information on your blog that they are not able to get anywhere, and if they are able to get it, it’s not up-to the mark. People tend to visit your blog and read the content written by you, because, they have trust on you, on your content. They believe that the content provided on this website is authentic and cent percent true.
Try not to break this rule in any scenario. Because if there will be no valuable content on the blog, there would be no readers. Try to look around ways to provide content to your readers, it may be in any form – blog post, infographics, video, audio or in any form. But do provide high quality content. It is one of the pillar stone of your blog so try to make it as strong as possible.
2. Posting Frequency
By Posting frequency I mean “How Often You Update Your Blog?”. It can be anything – daily, weekly, monthly, many times a week or anything. But just try to make sure that it is consistent. The reason behind this is that your readers would be knowing that when exactly you would post an article, and they tend to visit your blog on the same day.
The main factor that decides about the posting frequency is your niche. If you are in a niche like news, you may have to update your website many times a day, and in some other niche – may be a two posts a week can be sufficient. So analyze your niche properly before deciding your posting frequency.
3. Double Sided Communication
Communication is a part of blogging. You communicate with your readers and the readers communicate with you. The process goes on like this. But, if this communication part is removed from blogging, then I hope you know the end result. “An Unsuccessful Blog”. You need to express to other how you feel when they read you content, help your readers in getting their issues resolved and a lot more.
Try out new ways to communicate with the readers, with the community around your blog – it can be your blogger friends, your competitors and many more. Check out their website’s, leave comments, indulge them in conversation and see the magic. Your blog will grow beyond your imagination.
4. Deliver Your Own Style
Blogging is about uniqueness. Everyone out there would be publishing some sort of content. Some might be related to your niche, and some might be out of your way. Now, the challenge is to stand out from the crowd of our niche. We can do a lot of stuff to be unique. Customized website design, some unique categories, content in different formats – audio, video, infographics etc, giving away freebies, professional email marketing and many more like this.
As everyday unlimited number of blogs are getting started. It is getting tough to stand out from the crowd but not impossible. You simply need to analyze what others are missing, and try to fill that space in your blog with something eye catching and the job would be done.
5. Easy to Understand
Blogging is all about transfer of information from one person to another. That’s it. Now, it’s upto you how you do it. You can use heavy words and let your readers read your posts with a dictionary in hand or make them understand the point as if you are teaching them face to face. Depends on you. But, I always prefer the second option and keep my things simple to understand.
You can use bullets, points, headings, underline, italic, bold and a lot of stuff available to make your post easily understandable. Try to keep it as simple as possible because the person on the other side is just like us. Try to divide things into paragraphs & pages to make it interesting. Adding images would enhance the look of your blog post. Try different things and it will work out
