Do you run an online or offline business and wants to increase your income?
Blogging is the easiest way to reach your target audience, introduce your product in a credible manner and boost sales. We’d see to that!
So many entrepreneurs are yet to identify the “sweet” spot that starting a blog can bring to their businesses. I’m here to help you taste the good side of running a business, where prospective customers would literally search you out with their hard earned money, ready to buy.
The bottom line is to have a valuable product you offer. Because inasmuch as blogging is powerful, it can’t alter the course of life. In order to move from where you’re to where you want to be, you MUST bring value to the marketplace.
In view of this, up next are the five effective ways to boost your income with this Non-English term “blogging.” I’m sure you’re ready for this? Let’s go:
1. Be specific with your goal
What exactly would you like to achieve with a blog?
It can get confusing if you want to achieve everything at once. Of course, the tendency of meeting all your goals is increased when you finally get caught up in the bliss of blogging.
But at the onset, start with specific details. Your ultimate goal could be to generate more targeted leads to your corporate or ecommerce site. That’s how Apple uses social media to drive buyer leads to their iTunes.
You can make a lot of money through this art, but first, get people to visit your optin page. You’d convert better leads in this process. I can assure you. Is your goal specific already? All right, read the next line…
2. Identify your unique selling proposition
Did you know that your product has an edge over the competition, in your niche?
I’m telling you now that your unique selling proposition is what makes your business unique, simple and valuable in the eyes of potential buyers.
Since you want to reach a wider audience who truly care about your products and services, this unique element (USP) is what you’ll need to sell more of your products and build a reputable brand.
You’ve got to identify what makes your product better than others.
It could be an additional bonus that you offer, free shipping, personalized customer service, email ecourse for the first 3 months. Whatever you can do that competitors can’t do easily is your USP. Take advantage of it and your blog would grow exponentially.
3. Quit pushing sales
The simple rule of “content marketing” for 2013 is that you quit pushing sales. Your target audience is been bombarded with thousands if not millions of advertising daily. All the TV advertising and internet infomercials are getting out of hand. Don’t you think so?
Don’t get me wrong, selling isn’t totally out of place. After all, it’s the only way to really make money online blogging. Even offline, buying and SELLING is at the core.
But when you’re not giving the ideal buyer an opportunity to make decisions based on his or her convictions, you’ve tricked them.
In copywriting, we usually call this B.S. It’s eaten deep into the fabrics of online marketing gurus. You mustn’t be like them. Content marketing is the only way to identify what your blog readers; wants as a result of the problem in their lives, and how to solve that problem.
4. Start a business blog
At this point, starting a business blog is necessary. Because now your USP and goal have been identified and noted.
And there is no better platform to use for your blog than wordpress. It doesn’t matter whether you can write php scripts or even the basic Html, wordpress CMS is easy to use.
All I can advise is that you register a memorable domain name. Then go buy a web hosting package where your blog will live. Installing wordpress usually take 5 – 10 minutes. All you need do is find helpful step by step tutorial using Google and that’s it.
Vital point: Your blog must be based ON your business goal. Sure, you’re not going to push sales down readers’ throat, but making it clear from the get-go that you’ve a product that could help them is important.
It’d change their perception so that when you eventually recommend the product, the conversion rate will be high.
5. Use content marketing platforms
The final piece of puzzle for increasing your income online through blogging is to use content marketing platforms.
This can further increase the traffic your blog receives. Of course, you need not that I begin to educate you on the importance of quality content. That’s almost become a cliché and I don’t want to complicate issues here. This is 2013 cowboy!
Just know that a blog can’t survive without valuable content. Period!
Using other platforms like Youtube, twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google search as well as other top blogs could help you reach fresh audience, lead them through your landing page, get them unto your list, convert them customers and skyrocket sales gradually.
Facebook has well over 600 Million active users. I’m referring to those who log on every single day and stay 2 – 10 hours socializing. Those are the real social media asset, which you mustn’t ignore.
Ideally, spend quality time writing guest posts for other top blogs. Once the foundation of your blog is strong, get busy at writing quality guest post for A-list blogs in your niche. Steal some of their ready-made traffic and make your own blog TICK.
No matter the value your blog brings, if the right people aren’t accessing it, you’d fail. Oops!
You should already have a product/service which your blog readers need. On the other hand, having multiple income streams could make your brand firmer, and make you richer.
So, monetize your blog also with affiliate programs and one-on-one coaching programs. Go change your world with a blog – it’s possible if you work hard and smart. Live a comment if you like this post – See you at the top!
