The presence of our brand on social media is really important. We need to take care of every aspect of social media to increase our brand popularity because a large number of our fans gather on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+ and many more.
A few days back I attended a webinar that focused on increasing engagement on Facebook fan page. The webinar was 1.5 hours long, and I enjoyed every moment of it. In that webinar I learned a lot of techniques to increase engagement on the fan pages. So I thought to share some of the things that I would be doing and you should try too.

5 Ways to Increase Engagement on Facebook Fan Page
1. Ask Questions
One of the best ways to increase engagement on the Facebook fan page is by asking questions to the users. People love to give their opinions, and they feel privileged as well that someone is asking about their opinions.
Try to ask questions that can be replied easily like yes or no, true or false etc. Statistics show that people tend to reply more if it is really easy to answer. Here are some of the examples how brands are asking questions to increase engagement.
2. Fill in the Blanks
Does it seems crazy? Yes, it is crazy but it works like charm. It really works great as it is really easy to reply to these threads, because you just have to answer with a single word or a max of 2 – 3 words. That’s it. It hardly takes 2 seconds.
Just because of it’s quick nature, people love to reply to it. And the engagement goes on. Have a look at some of the samples of these type of threads.
3. Share Photos
No matter what people say out there. Images still work the best when we talk about engaging people in anything. Visual work a lot more than text. Share different stuffs on your Facebook fan page like motivational images, images related to your niche, funny images.
Just remember one thing while sharing photos: Don’t go too far away from your niche. Have a loot at some of the images shared on the fan pages.
4. Share Latest Topics
Everyone likes to stay updated in their respective niche. Try to be the one of the first ones to share the news with your fans/readers. People would love that and will constantly look up to your brand for the info.
You can get a nice number of shares/likes on the latest news, thus inviting some more people to join your community. Try that, it will surely rock you in your respective niche.
5. Share about Global World Days
Global world days are the days when almost every individual in the colors of the day. Most of the days in an year are meant for some special thing. Share that news, people would love them and would like to engage. Because they think that we are also a part of the day.

I think, Share Photos is really worked. I have a fan page.(Not my blog fan page. I created another fan page for fun). I shared funny photos everyday. I could get 1000 likes in just 2 weeks for that funny fan page.

Facebook is amazing and there are so many aspects to it I think we all need to sit in on a few webinars in order to make the best of it.
I had some training that recommends some of the same strategies you mention here.
If I can just add one little tip – Notice in the screenshot you took of my Facebook post (btw thanks for that) that it says “via Basic Blog Tips”. That is the additional branding that I get from using Post Planner. I love using that tool because it also gives me suggestions about what kinds of questions to ask. Of course I always put my own twist on the suggestions, but it is very useful to get a head start from Post Planner.

Well I think in order to gain popularity, you need to raise questions because this is the only way where you can engage a lot of people.
