Facebook, a place where more than 1 billion people are active. No doubt it’s one of the best places to find friends, hangout with them, chat with them and much. That is the only reason why everything on Facebook is popular whether they are the games, it’s applications, groups, pages and the list continues.
Some of the apps are installed by default to every user’s profile that allow them a lot of flexibility like photo sharing, video sharing, chatting, events etc and no one can remove or delete them.
If we talk about the numbers, Facebook is having more than 9 millions apps according to insidefacebook.com. Here’s the link to the official announcement that Facebook made regarding the launch of the all new Facebook apps: “Introducing The App Center“.
So, we thought to provide you a detailed update on what exactly Facebook apps are, how to find them, and how to install them.
Facebook apps were launched in May 2007 when Facebook allowed outside developers to create apps for Facebook. It could be games, useful apps, or anything that can enhance the user experience. And in almost no time, it became one of the strongest developers ecosystem in the online world.
FACEBOOK APPS CENTER
The apps center is your one stop page from where you can access all of the apps. The apps are divided into different categories to make it easier for the consumers to scan according to their personal needs.
The apps center is pretty much as it should be. Simple, easy navigation, clear view, or the one word that would describe it would be ‘awesome’. On the left hand side you will be able to see a App Center logo, and then just below that it the vertical navigation panel.
The first part of the navigation panel divides the apps into mobile apps or web apps so that it’s easier to figure it out according to the device that you are using. And in the second part, there are various categories in which the apps are divided. The most popular categories are Games, entertainment, Facebook & Lifestyle.
And a little more info on the same vertical area is the app requests send you, and the apps that you have already installed are present under the ‘My Apps’ tab.
SEARCHING AN APP
Searching an app with the hep of this app center is really a left hand job. You just need to scan through the categories and you will be able to reach there. And the best part about the categories is that it has sub categories as well.
For e.g. we need to install a game. We would simply click on the ‘Games’ Category in the app center. As soon as we will click the Games category, a list of sub categories will be in front of us and trust me, the sub categories are really narrowed down to help you reach the exact place.
We tried to install the ‘Card’s Game’ and the procedure was awesome. We went to the apps center > Games > Card Games and we were there.
INSTALLING THE FACEBOOK APPS
Once you have decided which app to install. Simply click on that app, and the application page will be in front of you. While writing this article, for demo purposes I tried installing “Ibibo Teen Patti”.
After clicking on the ‘Play Game’, the page redirects where application asks for the permission to ‘post on your wall on your behalf‘. To increase the popularity of the app they keep on posting your high scores etc so that your friends also get excited to play the game. It’s entirely on your wish to allow or not. And finally you will be in the game.
