Facebook Interests List – What it is all about?

Facebook Interests List: A new feature that is being introduced by Facebook sometime back & trust me I am in love with this feature. I have been using this feature from around two weeks now, and I recommend this to every Facebook user out there.
 
Facebook Interests List is all about creating your own news feed – Customized by you personally. It can include images, videos, posts, status updates & all other stories from the people and page that you have added to your interests list. Isn’t it cool?
 
No more crappy posts, no more clicking on pages to pages to find new content, no more wasting hours to stay updated with the brands you want to. In short, creating your own one stop shop to stay updated about all the brands.

How to Create your own Facebook Interests List

 
 
1. Log in to your Facebook account & then click here to navigate to your Interests page. OR you can look for the ‘Interests‘ menu on the left hand side of your Facebook homepage. As soon as you will hover your mouse over the interests menu it will show you the ‘more‘ menu, click on it.
 
 

 

 
2. You will be redirected to the page where you will be able to see two options: ‘Add Interests‘ & ‘Create List‘. If you want to subscribe to the lists that have already been created then enter the keywords for your interests in the bar and you will be able to see the lists created by other people out there.
If you want to create your own customized list, then click on ‘Create List’ button.
 
 

 
 
3. When you will click on the ‘create list’ option, a pop up window will appear that will give you the expandability to add the pages & people to your list. Search the name of the page or the fan page and click on it. It will added to the list. So, whenever you will open your list, you will be able to see updates from all those people & pages. You can add as many number of pages & people as you want. And then click ‘Next‘.
 
 

 
4. As soon as you will click the next option, you will be able to see the ‘List Details’ i.e. Name of the list, number of members, who can see the list & some more options. You can edit all the settings from here. Once you have finished all the settings, you can click on ‘DONE‘. And the list will be created.
 
You will be able to access the list from the ‘Interests’ menu from the bottom left OR you can save the URL of your list.
 
 

How to share your Facebook Interests List with your Friends?

 
You can easily share your Facebook Interests List with your friends with the help of the share button present on the list itself. As soon as you will open your list, on the top right hand side you will be able to see two options: ‘Share’ & ‘Manage List’.

You need to click on the Share button and it will give you the whole bunch of options like Share on your timeline, share on friend’s timeline, share in a group, share in a page etc. You can select any option that suits your needs & proceed.
