5 Facebook Features You Might Have Missed

Facebook Features – It would not be wrong to say that Facebook is fully loaded with some awesome & out of the box features. Facebook tries every thing that they can when it comes to upgrading the user experience.

It’s not easy to keep updated with each & every announcement that Facebook makes. A few days back, I learned about five Facebook features that I was not aware about (Yes, shame on me). So, I thought to share these awesome features with you all so that you can too stay updated about these cool Facebook features.

5 Facebook Features You Might Have Missed

1.  Export Facebook Calendar to PC

Yes, now you can easily export your Facebook calendar to your PC so that you stay updated with each & every important day. It may be a friend’s birthday or any important event that’s happening in your town. You will never miss any of them.

To export the Facebook calendar, login into your account & head over to the events page. Here’s the link: https://www.facebook.com/events/list

The above link will take to your events page, and on the top right you will be able to see the date or today written. Just after that there will be a ‘wheel’ button i.e. the settings button. Click on it, and then click on ‘EXPORT’. Facebook will automatically take you through the steps.

You can backup the calendar to Microsoft outlook, Google calendar & Apple iCal.

2. Design a Business Card using Facebook Features

If your timeline cover is all that reflects your business & your identity, then move ahead get it printed as a business card. Yes, Moo.com & Facebook have been together to help Facebook users get their business cards without any hassle.

You just need to go to the ‘About’ section of your profile and scroll down where your contact information is saved. In the contact information window, you will be able to see a small icon that looks like business card. Click on it, and it will redirect you to moo.com, where you can select the design of your card and place an order.

3. Forward Facebook Conversations

You just taught some how to do a stuff, and after sometime, another asks the same query. You are writing the same solution again & again. Isn’t it a lot of hassle unnecessarily.

Facebook has a solution. Forward the same messages with a click to anyone out there. Open the chat messages that you want to forward, on the top right of the message panel, you will be able to see ‘ACTIONS’. Click on it, and select ‘Forward Messages’.

The best part is that you can select what all messages you want to forward so that your private talks are not forwarded. I personally love this feature.

4. Download Entire Facebook History

Yes, now you can download your entire Facebook history on your PC with a single click. Facebook helps you to do it. Browse to the Account settings page of your profile. Here’s the link: https://www.facebook.com/settings

At the bottom of the window, there will be an option that says ‘Download a Copy of your Facebook Data’. Click on it, and the process of backup will be started.

5. ‘View As’ Option

Now you don’t need to worry about how your Facebook profile looks to your Facebook friends. You can check it out from inside your own profile.

Yes, ‘View As’ feature does the same. Head over to your profile, and on the right hand side you will be able to see the ‘Activity Log’. Just after that there will be a settings button, click on it. Select the option ‘VIEW AS’ and you will be able to enter each person’s name and check how your profile looks to them. Isn’t it cool?

  11. Designing a business card from facebook and downloading entire facebook history both are awesome features. I myself would not print a busyness card based on my FB profile but I guess a nice idea from FB’s part. I checked moo.com and some designs do look promising yet I would not like to include my FB profile on my business card until and unless it is a very professional FB profile of mine.
