Blogging Etiquette’s You Should Have

Etiquette’s – Etiquette’s can be defined as the sense of being a responsible & civilized person. As blogging is a field of educated people so its must, that you should have certain blogging etiquette’s so that others see you as a respected blogger. Etiquette’s in normal life means to respect others, treat them in a kind way, help them, give them credit, and many more things that you all are aware of it. It means the same in the blogging world as well, because ultimately we deal with the people only. So, lets have a look at what all etiquette’s we should have.

Blogging Etiquette's Every Blogger Should Have

Give Credit and win the heart of that person

It really works, I have personally tried it ;) Credit is something that every person is looking for in this world. Because frankly speaking, there are very few people who give credit and of course if very few people are giving, then very few people are getting it as well. Do Lead them, and give them a credit so that it turns them into your loyal reader, loyal subscriber and the most important well wishers as well. There are different ways of giving credit, for eg: you used an image clicked by someone, at the end of the pic, write that it has been clicked by XYZ.

Accept the Rejection and Start a Conversation

Accept that it’s one of the most difficult task to do. No one likes to be hated by other or you can say, no one likes negative feedback. But if you have a talk with any leader or a great blogger, they will always tell you that they too had to face the rejection in the early stages. Every human brain is dynamic, it is not that if you think a particular thing is right, then it is certainly right. It is not like that. You had to exchange words regarding the same thing and settle on a point. Try to accept the rejection and try to figure out what lead to the rejection of that point.

Help Your Readers and Increase your Fans

It happens sometimes, when we write posts regarding some information, or regarding some tutorials, people tend to ask queries like it didn’t work, it is giving certain errors etc etc. At this very point, it becomes our duty to respond to that particular reader and gets his problem solved. It will increase your respect as well as your creditability that the person’s tutorials works in real.

Don’t Leave Links in the Comments Box

I personally too get some of the comments that have the links to some websites or some information. It is not acceptable at all. As you can see all of the bloggers, have already given the option to add the link to your site and there is a personal box for it in the comments section, so you should only add the link to your website there, not in the comments box. For eg:, I received a comment few days later like: Wow harneet, I really liked your post. Keep it up. But I have written on the same topic here: www.xyz.com/postname . Do you really think it was acceptable. Nope. It looks like a spam. So try not to do it.

These are some of the basic blogging etiquette’s you all should have and you should remember while blogging.

I would like to add one more point

Appreciate others article by commenting there- Bloggers usually comments on others blog just to get backlink….but my thinking is….we should comment on others blog to appreciate/criticize their article.

Comment act as applause for the writer.

    • Thanks Sandeep for your appreciation. Yes, we should comment to appreciate or criticize the article not to just get a backlink.
